8. Flight Control is an entertaining Games Online that starts out very simply: all you have to do is use your finger to draw a flight path for incoming planes to land on the correct landing strip. However, as the game progresses, the difficulty level increases as more planes come in all at the same time. This app may not sound very useful, but we found it great for killing time.
9. Endomondo Sports Tracker allows you to track your running or cycling times and distances using GPS. The especially great part about this app is that it is also linked into the Endomondo Web site, where you can compare your times against others. This is a great app to have if you are the type of person who likes to have healthy competition to keep motivated when working out.
10. Moon Maps is an interesting if not very useful app. Similar to Google Earth, except for the venue, Moon Maps lets you fly, pan, and zoom all around the lunar landscape, giving you an up-close-and-personal tour of the Apollo landing sites, lunar crates, and the dark side of the moon.

You can get weather forecasts in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia along with a rather bland news blog if you want one.
